Accenture shares surge 16% as AI bookings nearly double
Consulting giant Accenture beat Wall Street estimates with $18.68 billion in quarterly revenue, as advanced AI bookings almost doubled to $2.2 billion.
Accenture reported fiscal fourth-quarter earnings of $3.29 per share on $18.68 billion in revenue on October 1, 2026, topping LSEG consensus estimates of $3.18 and $18.03 billion. Advanced AI bookings nearly doubled year-on-year to $2.2 billion, with related revenue around $1.1 billion; management said this would be the final quarter it breaks out those AI metrics as the technology becomes embedded across virtually all its work. Full-year adjusted EPS reached $13.97, up 8%, on revenue of $74.2 billion, a 6% rise. CEO Julie Sweet said the firm closed the year with $85 billion of new business entering fiscal 2027, pointing to transformational AI and data deals. Shares jumped more than 22% intraday before closing up roughly 16%, their best day on record, lifting other tech-services and AI-exposed names across global indexes.
