Jay-Z Officially Headlines the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show
Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation company has produced the NFL halftime show since 2019, has finally stepped into the spotlight himself, announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl on 14 February 2027 at SoFi Stadium.
The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation announced Monday night that Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show on Valentine's Day, 14 February 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The announcement represents a full-circle moment: when Jay-Z's Roc Nation first partnered with the NFL to oversee entertainment presentations in 2019, he told Commissioner Roger Goodell that if the deal was contingent on him performing, "we can just end this conversation now." Seven years on, he reversed course. With 25 Grammy Awards from 89 nominations — second only to his wife Beyoncé — Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter) is one of music's most decorated artists. He co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records and launched Roc Nation in 2008, which has since brought performers including Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd to the Super Bowl stage. The announcement came days after Jay-Z wrapped his "Jay-Z 30" concert run, which started at Yankee Stadium in New York, continued in London, and concluded at SoFi Stadium itself.
