Netflix released all six hour-long episodes of Black Doves Season 2 on November 5. The spy thriller follows Helen (Keira Knightley), who continues to betray her nation's secrets to the covert organisation known as the Black Doves. With her husband Wallace (Andrew Buchan) now preparing to become Prime Minister, the dangers of her double life have intensified. Her enigmatic handler Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire) is meanwhile ensnared in a ruthless internal plot to undermine her standing within the organisation. Helen is also reunited with her best friend Sam (Ben Whishaw), a once high-end hitman now reduced to lonely drinks in Soho bars and low-rate work. Together, the two search for answers as loyalties are weaponised and trust is shattered. The wider cast includes Kathryn Hunter, Ella Lily Hyland, Gabrielle Creevy, Agnes O'Casey, Ambika Mod, Babou Ceesay, Sam Riley, Neve Campbell, Sylvia Hoeks, Goran Kostic and Samuel Barnett. The show is created and written by Joe Barton, who also executive produces alongside Keira Knightley, Jane Featherstone for Sister, and Chris Fry. Julian Farino and Kieron Hawkes direct this season, with Callum Devrell-Cameron producing.
