SIAL Paris opens as the world's biggest food fair returns to Villepinte

SIAL Paris 2026, the world's largest food-industry trade show, opened on 17 October at Paris Nord Villepinte with 8,000 exhibitors from more than 200 countries filling 280,000 square metres.

The 31st edition of SIAL Paris, the world's biggest food-industry trade fair, opened on Saturday 17 October 2026 at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre and will run until 21 October. Organisers are billing it as the most ambitious SIAL ever, surpassing the record 2024 event. Around 8,000 exhibitors from more than 200 countries are showing in 280,000 square metres of halls, with daily opening hours of 10:00–18:30 from Saturday to Tuesday and 10:00–17:00 on Wednesday. The show, held every two years, brings together producers, craftsmen, wholesalers, retailers and buyers from across the global food chain. Highlights of the 2026 edition include a strong focus on plant-based innovation — among them a new US line of 3D-printed plant-based meats — alongside pavilions for African, Asian and Latin American producers, product-launch competitions and tastings. SIAL has become one of the main shop windows for the trends that end up on supermarket shelves and restaurant menus over the next two years, and buyers from supermarket chains, hotel groups and restaurant companies around the world travel in for the five days.
