A cryptic AI-generated polar bear image that first appeared on TikTok in 2023 has roared back to life, with creators counting down to November 2026 using a catchy theme song built around the original post's mysterious premise.
In 2023, an eerie AI-generated image of a polar bear spread across TikTok accompanied by a Russian caption that translated to "This is a November meme from 2026, you won't understand yet." The premise caught people's attention, spawned a wave of imitations, and then went largely dormant — until now.
At the end of August 2026, TikToker @bigbakdiskk28 revived the idea with a new video featuring a similar AI-generated polar bear. The clip opens with Oliver Tree's song "Life Goes On," then zooms into the bear's face as it sings "Remember November 2026 is coming," suggesting that the original 2023 post will finally make sense once November arrives.
The video sparked a fresh wave of memes across TikTok. Creators have been pairing the singing polar bear clip with images of calendars and movie posters for upcoming November 2026 releases. Some of the content leans into an unsettling, creepypasta-style tone, as though the polar bear meme might be cursed.
Three years after the original post, the meme has transformed into a collaborative countdown format — one built entirely on the anticipation of a punchline that nobody has yet seen. For a deeper history of the trend, Know Your Meme maintains a full encyclopedia entry on the subject.
