Trump Warns of US Strike on Iran as Early as Sunday, Leaves Deal Option Open

US President Donald Trump told reporters in Florida on Saturday that a fresh military strike against Iran could come as soon as October 25, while simultaneously floating the possibility of a diplomatic agreement with Tehran.

Speaking to reporters in Florida on Saturday after casting his midterm election ballot, US President Donald Trump warned that the United States could launch new military strikes against Iran as early as Sunday, October 25. Trump said the US was "thinking about doing it, and maybe tomorrow," while declining to confirm any final decision had been made. He also left open the prospect of what he called a "nice, big, beautiful agreement" with Tehran, though he questioned whether Iran would honour any deal reached with Washington. Preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, Trump said, remained a central objective of his administration. The remarks followed Trump's Friday warning of "another little Epic Fury" — the name given to the US military operation against Iran — and came after months of conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. A ceasefire and subsequent negotiations have so far failed to resolve major disputes, including Iran's nuclear programme, US-imposed sanctions and security arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz. US Ambassador to Türkiye Tom Barrack had separately indicated a possible weekend strike, though Trump initially told reporters he was unaware of those comments.
