Food Japan 2026 Opens in Singapore with 188 Exhibitors from 39 Japanese Prefectures
The 14th edition of Food Japan, ASEAN's largest Japanese food and beverage exhibition, opened on 19 October 2026 at Singapore's Suntec Convention Centre, connecting producers from across Japan with buyers throughout Southeast Asia.
Food Japan 2026 opened on 19 October at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre in Singapore for a three-day run, marking its 14th edition as ASEAN's premier showcase of Japanese food and beverage products. The event brings together 188 exhibitors representing 39 Japanese prefectures alongside Singapore-based businesses, displaying a wide range of categories: traditional regional specialities such as wagashi confectionery, ramen, sake and premium seafood sit alongside newer categories including pet food, halal-certified items, health and wellness products, and eco-friendly packaging solutions. This edition notably dedicates a spotlight zone to pet food for the first time, reflecting the growing crossover between Japanese food culture and pet ownership. The programme includes interactive tasting sessions, live cooking demonstrations and sake masterclasses aimed at foodservice operators, hospitality buyers and retail chains across ASEAN. Organisers describe the fair as a critical commercial bridge connecting small-to-medium Japanese regional producers with Southeast Asian markets that have limited direct import access to niche Japanese prefectural goods. Trade-only access runs on the first two days, with public entry available on the third.
