NeuroXess has closed a RMB 700 million Series B round to expand its implantable brain-computer interface technology, multicenter clinical trials, and manufacturing capacity across China.
Chinese brain-computer interface startup NeuroXess has secured RMB 700 million in a Series B funding round co-led by SDIC Juli, Shenzhen Capital Group, and Qinzhi Capital. The company builds implantable BCI systems that pair flexible electrodes with wireless power and data transmission, with capabilities designed to support movement and speech decoding as well as control of external devices for people with neurological conditions.
NeuroXess has completed 65 clinical cases to date and, in July, launched a formal registration trial involving nearly 20 hospitals. The new capital will be used to expand those multicenter trials, advance regulatory submissions, grow manufacturing capacity, and develop next-generation products.
Alongside the funding, the company is constructing a 14,300-square-metre manufacturing facility designed to produce up to 10,000 BCI systems per year, underlining its ambitions to bring implantable brain-computer interfaces to broader clinical use.
