Portugal keep perfect Nations League run with 4-2 win at Denmark

Portugal, the reigning UEFA Nations League champions, extended their perfect start to the 2026-27 campaign with a 4-2 win over Denmark at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen on 1 October 2026. Bruno Fernandes pulled the strings from midfield with two assists, while the visitors' goals were shared between João Cancelo, Gonçalo Ramos, Vitinha and João Félix. Denmark pulled two back through Mikkel Damsgaard and Rasmus Højlund but could not force themselves back into the Group A2 contest. The result tightened Portugal's grip at the top of the group and left Denmark chasing qualification for the Nations League quarter-finals. The match drew heavy attention across European media as one of the standout fixtures of the international break, pitting two tournament regulars against each other on home turf in front of a sold-out crowd in Copenhagen.
