Global Tourism Leaders to Convene in Paris for 'A World for Travel' Forum

Around 200 international tourism decision-makers are gathering in Paris on 29–30 October for the seventh edition of 'A World for Travel,' focused on geopolitical risk, AI and sustainable tourism as the global industry eyes a US $12 trillion economic contribution in 2026.

The seventh edition of 'A World for Travel' will bring approximately 200 hand-picked international decision-makers to Paris on 29–30 October 2026 under the theme 'New Tourism Realities: From Global Disruption to Collective Action.' Key discussion topics include geopolitical instability and its impact on travel flows, climate and environmental resilience, tourism investment challenges, the role of artificial intelligence and Connected Intelligence networks, and sustainable hospitality transformation. High-profile participants include Gloria Guevara, President and CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), as well as leaders from Radisson Hotel Group, Accor, and government destination bodies. The forum takes place against a backdrop of significant momentum in global tourism: the WTTC forecasts the sector to contribute US $12 trillion to the global economy in 2026, supporting approximately 376 million jobs worldwide. However, UN Tourism data shows international arrivals grew by just 0.4% in the first half of 2026, reflecting the weight of geopolitical tensions and rising costs. A press preview and welcome reception will be held on 28 October at the Musée Marmottan Monet, by invitation only. The event serves as a key strategic platform for shaping tourism policy and investment decisions heading into 2027.
