Frieze London opens to the public with 172 galleries from 42 countries
Frieze London 2026 opens its doors to the public in Regent's Park, bringing together 172 galleries from 42 countries alongside Frieze Masters and a new curated section, The Code Universe.
On 15 October 2026 the 24th edition of Frieze London threw open its tents in Regent's Park to general admission, after a members' preview earlier in the day. The fair gathers 172 galleries from 42 countries and regions in the contemporary tent, with nearly 300 galleries spread across Frieze London and Frieze Masters combined. Headline presentations include solo projects by Dalton Paula at Lisson, Albert Oehlen at Gagosian and Marina Perez Simão at Pace, while Sudanese modernist Ibrahim El-Salahi receives his most significant London showing of the year. A new curated section, The Code Universe, is overseen by Carol Yinghua Lu and traces artistic practices from the late 1970s to today. A site-specific commission by Gray Wielebinski and Dean's Bottom, titled Production, turns the fair's public toilets into an olfactory experience, and Theo Triantafyllidis's Feral Metaverse (Spider) picks up the Frieze London Artist Award. The fair runs until 18 October and anchors a wider Frieze Week that also lifts major London auction sales, including a David Bowie self-portrait at Sotheby's the same evening.
