Taylor Swift Debuts New Song Live at Star-Studded Academy Museum Gala
Taylor Swift performed at the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on 18 October, giving the live debut of a new song alongside classic hits at the film-world fundraiser.
Taylor Swift headlined the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala at the museum on Miracle Mile, Los Angeles, on Saturday 18 October 2026, with coverage dominating entertainment news into 19 October. Introduced by Conan O'Brien, Swift performed her song The Fate of Ophelia from her 2025 album live for the very first time, accompanied by a full band. She also played Love Story, Blank Space, and I Knew It, I Knew You, a track from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack. It was her first public performance since a Grammy Museum set in August 2026. Swift arrived solo on the red carpet in a custom pale-blue Dior gown with a crystal-embellished bow, with husband Travis Kelce away for a Kansas City Chiefs game. Other guests included Sabrina Carpenter, Charlize Theron, Jacob Elordi, Kim Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner. The gala honoured filmmaker John Carpenter, actor Colman Domingo, and actress Charlize Theron, and raises funds for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures exhibitions, educational programmes, and public screenings.
