LISA's 'Tarantino' Music Video Hits 50 Million YouTube Views in Two Days
BLACKPINK's Lisa released her cinematic 'Tarantino' music video on 23 October, and it rocketed to No. 1 on YouTube worldwide, accumulating 41.9 million views in its first 24 hours alone.
Thai K-pop superstar Lisa — a member of BLACKPINK — dropped her solo EP 'Press Play' and the accompanying music video for its lead single 'Tarantino' on 23 October 2026 via RCA Records and her own LLOUD Co. label. Directed by Grammy-winning filmmaker James Mackel, the three-and-a-half-minute clip follows Lisa as a spy-like operative fighting her way through a hotel to deliver a handwritten letter to her 'favourite director,' Quentin Tarantino. The video draws heavily on the visual language of Kill Bill, with action sequences, elegant hotel corridors, and a climactic reveal of a script titled 'Her' starring Lisa. Within 24 hours of release the video had accumulated 41.9 million views on YouTube — the second-biggest single-day music-video debut of 2026, surpassed only by Lisa's own earlier hit 'SaWaDiKa,' which scored 73.3 million views in a day. By 25 October the video had crossed 50 million views and was trending at No. 1 worldwide on YouTube. The EP's six tracks — including 'SaWaDiKa,' 'V12,' 'Cobra,' 'Cut U Off,' and 'Sweat' — were also charting globally. The release was backed by a high-profile PlayStation partnership in which Lisa signed a custom DualSense controller for a fan on camera.
