Peso Pluma Leads 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards with 17 Nominations Ahead of Miami Ceremony

With the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards set for October 22 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Peso Pluma dominated entertainment headlines on October 20 as the run-up coverage peaked. The Mexican artist and his collaborator Tito Double P, whose joint album DINASTIA drove the nomination haul, led all finalists with 17 total mentions, including nominations for Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year. Fuerza Regida followed with 12 mentions and was named the recipient of the prestigious Billboard Vanguard Award. The ceremony would be hosted by Carmen Villalobos and Javier Poza, with the show broadcast live on Telemundo and Peacock. Several special honours were announced in the lead-up coverage: Cristian Castro would receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, Rubén Blades the Billboard Icon Award, Rosalía the Billboard Hall of Fame Award, and Fuerza Regida the Vanguard Award. A brand-new Fan Favorite Artist category — contested by Fuerza Regida, Karol G, Peso Pluma, Prince Royce and Tito Double P — would be decided by fan vote and revealed live on the night, adding extra social-media engagement ahead of the show and making pre-ceremony coverage on October 20 some of the most widely shared Latin music news of the autumn.
