Jay-Z Confirmed as 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Headliner
Roc Nation, the NFL and Apple Music jointly announced that Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show on February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, marking three decades in music.
US hip-hop artist Jay-Z — born Shawn Carter — has been confirmed as the headline performer for the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show, to be staged at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 14. The announcement was made jointly by Roc Nation, the NFL and Apple Music ahead of the NFL game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. In a statement, Jay-Z said: "From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world's biggest stage." NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell revealed he had made just one request when partnering with Roc Nation in 2019: that Jay-Z himself take the stage whenever the moment felt right. Roc Nation has since produced halftime shows headlined by Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar. Lamar's 2025 performance became the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history and won the Emmy for outstanding music direction. Jay-Z has won 25 Grammy Awards, was the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. He rose to fame with his 1996 debut album, "Reasonable Doubt."
