'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2' Drops All 10 Episodes on Netflix

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the hotly anticipated follow-up to Studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red's 2022 hit anime series, became available in full on Netflix on October 20–21, 2026, with all ten episodes released simultaneously for binge-viewing. Directed by Kai Ikarashi, with character design by Ichigo Kanno and Hugo Award winner Bartosz Sztybor serving as showrunner, the new series is a completely standalone story with a fresh ensemble cast. The plot follows Weak, a former edgerunner seeking purpose; D, a Snake Nation netrunner on a path of clan vengeance; Roman, a young documentarian; and Talia, shaped by Maelstrom gang affiliation — centring themes of revenge and redemption in the neon-soaked dystopia of Night City. The original Edgerunners received widespread critical acclaim and is widely credited with reviving interest in the Cyberpunk 2077 video game. CD Projekt Red simultaneously announced a free Cyberpunk 2077 update (version 2.5), releasing October 22, featuring content inspired by the new anime. The series was described by Screen Rant as Netflix's answer to Blade Runner.
