The Terminal List Season 2 Arrives on Prime Video After a Four-Year Hiatus
Chris Pratt's military thriller The Terminal List returns to Prime Video on October 21 after a four-year gap, with all eight episodes of Season 2 dropping simultaneously following a special one-night theater preview on October 20.
Prime Video confirmed that The Terminal List Season 2 will premiere on October 21, 2026, across more than 240 countries simultaneously, with a special one-night theatrical screening at 75 Regal locations on October 20 preceding the streaming debut. The season adapts Jack Carr's second novel True Believer, sending Navy SEAL Commander James Reece — played again by Chris Pratt — on a globe-trotting espionage mission described as having 'a more ambitious scope' than the first season. Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth, and Gabriel Luna also return, joined by Jeanne Tripplehorn as Secretary Hartley. The four-year gap between seasons was caused by the 2023 Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production scale challenges, and the scheduling demands of a prequel series, Dark Wolf, that aired in 2025 to bridge the gap. Industry observers have positioned Season 2 as Prime Video's lead action-thriller draw after the conclusion of Reacher's run in September 2026, with Screen Rant noting it 'can fill the void left by Reacher.' All eight episodes release as a full binge drop, making the October 18 weekend a key promotional moment as the platform builds excitement ahead of the imminent premiere.
