JetBlue launches Fort Lauderdale–Barranquilla daily nonstop

JetBlue added a third Colombian destination on 1 October 2026, launching daily Fort Lauderdale–Barranquilla A320 flights with introductory fares from $134 one-way.

US low-cost carrier JetBlue added Barranquilla, Colombia to its route map on 1 October 2026, launching daily nonstop Airbus A320 flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport. The inaugural flight, JetBlue 1957, departed Fort Lauderdale at 11:05 local time and arrived in Barranquilla at 12:55; the return left at 14:05, arriving back at 17:56. Introductory one-way fares started at $134, and the service offers JetBlue's standard Main cabin plus EvenMore extra-legroom seating. Barranquilla becomes the carrier's third Colombian city after Medellín and Cartagena, and it will be joined later in October by a new route to Cali. Airline executives said the move strengthens JetBlue's South Florida–Latin America hub strategy and taps growing Colombian diaspora traffic. Local officials in Atlántico department welcomed the connection as a boost for the city's Caribbean beach tourism and its February Carnival. The story led Latin America travel news aggregators on 1 October 2026.
