Endo Kazutoshi opens 10-seat Chelsea omakase at £305 a head
World-renowned sushi chef Endo Kazutoshi opened a 10-seat omakase counter in London's Chelsea on 1 October 2026, already booked out for the month at £305 per head.
On 1 October 2026 Japanese sushi master Endo Kazutoshi, best known for his Michelin-starred Endo at The Rotunda (closed since a fire), opened a new 10-seat omakase restaurant simply called Endo at 8–9 Blacklands Terrace in Chelsea, in the former Michelin-starred home of The Five Fields. There is no printed menu; guests sit at a 200-year-old hinoki counter imported from Kyoto and eat whatever the chef chooses that night, built around wild-caught fish sourced largely from suppliers on the west coast of the British Isles. The intimate space is designed to evoke the 1920s–30s Tokyo sushi counters, including the Yokohama restaurant run by Endo's grandfather. Dinner costs £305 per guest and the restaurant was fully booked for its first month before opening night. Above the counter sits a tea-inspired listening bar called Moga, open initially only to diners and to the public from December. Food media across London featured the opening as the most anticipated restaurant debut of October.
