IWM's Big Story Festival Brings Free Storytelling Workshops to Half Term
The Imperial War Museum is running its two-day Big Story storytelling festival on 25 and 26 October, offering free family workshops on storytelling and illustration that require no advance booking.
The Imperial War Museum — which these days goes by IWM — is hosting its two-day Big Story Festival on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October, timed to coincide with London's October half-term. The festival is broadly themed around war, though not exclusively so, and is designed to appeal to families looking for free half-term activities. While some of the more elaborate events at the festival do require a paid admission ticket, a wide range of workshops focused on storytelling and illustration are available without charge and without any need to book in advance. The IWM is located on Lambeth Road, SE1 6HZ, in south London. The festival is one of five free activities highlighted for London families this half-term, alongside offerings at the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, various Halloween trails across the city's neighbourhoods, and a Bayeux Tapestry-themed programme at the British Museum.
