Sony launches 'Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition' with new Sekigahara expansion
Sucker Punch and Sony Interactive Entertainment released 'Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition' on PlayStation 5 on October 1, bundling the base game with a new story expansion and survival mode.
On October 1, 2026, Sucker Punch Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment released 'Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition' exclusively for PlayStation 5. The paid upgrade and standalone edition went live at 9am PT / 12pm ET and brings together the base samurai adventure set in 17th-century Ezo (modern Hokkaido), the game's Legends multiplayer mode, all previously released Digital Deluxe bonuses, a brand-new story expansion called 'Echoes of Sekigahara' that follows protagonist Atsu into fresh territory, and a new rogue-like survival mode titled 'Most Wanted'. The launch was one of five notable video game releases on October 1 – alongside 'Rayman Legends Retold', 'Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered' and 'End of Abyss' – and quickly dominated gaming press, with PlayStation Blog, Game Rant and Instant Gaming leading coverage of what has already been one of 2026's best-selling single-player titles.
