Second shooting in a week on a Neukölln café
Unknown attackers fire again at the same Silbersteinstraße café in Berlin-Neukölln, with the LKA's organised-crime unit 'Ferrum' taking over the case.
Berliner Zeitung reports that in the early hours of 18 October 2026, shortly before 6 a.m., an unknown attacker fired at a café on Silbersteinstraße in Berlin-Neukölln. Officers found several bullet holes in the storefront window; no one was injured. It is the second time in one week the same business has been targeted after shots were fired at the premises in the night of Tuesday 15 October. The Berlin State Criminal Police special unit 'Ferrum', which focuses on organised crime and extortion in the shisha-bar and café scene, has taken over the investigation. The report notes a wider pattern of attacks on Neukölln businesses in 2026, including shootings at a café on Hermannstraße in March and a bar on the same street in April. Police are appealing for witnesses.
