Full List of London Tube and Train Closures for the Weekend of 24–25 October

Most of the District line is suspended all weekend, with the Circle, Elizabeth, Mildmay, Windrush and Waterloo & City lines also facing disruptions on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026.

Time Out London published a comprehensive guide on 23 October 2026 to the planned weekend engineering works hitting London's rail network. The District line faces the most sweeping closure: no service between Edgware Road and Ealing Broadway, Richmond or Wimbledon all weekend, and no trains between Embankment and those destinations either. The Circle line is suspended between Edgware Road and both Aldgate and Tower Hill on both days. The Elizabeth line has reduced westbound service between Hayes & Harlington and Maidenhead on Sunday, with trains skipping Burnham and Taplow between 11am and 7pm, and no stops at those stations after 7pm. The Mildmay line is closed between Willesden Junction and Shepherds Bush from Saturday 7:30pm through Sunday noon. The DLR has no service from Shadwell to Tower Gateway on Sunday only. The Windrush line is suspended between Sydenham and Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Waterloo & City line is closed for its standard weekend maintenance. Travellers attending events such as the London Literature Festival at Southbank or football at Stamford Bridge are advised to check alternative routes.
