Prosecutors Demand 13 Years for Serial Rapist Accused of Drugging 14 Women
Berlin's public prosecutor asked a court for 13 years in prison plus preventive detention for Frank S., accused of drugging and raping at least 14 women.
In a high-profile Berlin trial, prosecutors on 14/15 October 2026 demanded a 13-year prison sentence plus subsequent preventive detention (Sicherungsverwahrung) for the accused Frank S., who is alleged to have drugged and raped at least 14 women. According to the indictment, he met the victims via dating platforms or in bars and offered them spiked drinks before assaulting them in his flat or elsewhere in the city, often filming the attacks on his phone. The videos later served as central evidence. The prosecutor described him as a highly dangerous repeat offender who posed a lasting threat to women. The defence has pleaded for a milder sentence. The verdict is expected in the coming weeks at the Landgericht Berlin.
