Vietnam Airlines Named World's Best Culinary Airline at 2026 World Culinary Awards

At the 2026 World Culinary Awards, Vietnam Airlines made history by becoming the first Asian carrier to claim the title of World's Best Culinary Airline, defeating heavyweights including Emirates, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Air France, Cathay Pacific and Turkish Airlines. The airline impressed with its seasonal, route-specific menus: business-class passengers on Korean routes are served bibimbap and ginseng chicken soup, while European and Australian routes offer pre-order premium options. Even economy passengers receive a signature croissant at breakfast alongside rice or pasta meals. On the airport side, London Heathrow was crowned World's Best Airport for Dining 2026, edging out Dubai International, Hamad International in Qatar, Hong Kong International, JFK New York, Paris Aéroport and Singapore Changi. Heathrow's win was credited to its diversity of offerings across four terminals, including Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food Market in Terminal 5 and Le Café Louis Vuitton in Terminal 2. Turkish Airlines' International Lounges won the Best Airline Lounge for Dining award, while Gatwick's Clubrooms took Best Airport Lounge for Dining.
