Danny Reinke takes Berlin fashion to Paris runway
Berlin-based designer Danny Reinke, who grew up in a Baltic fishing village, is set to debut at Paris Fashion Week with an elaborate collection that bares all.
Berlin designer Danny Reinke, who rose from a tiny Baltic fishing village to the city's fashion scene, prepared on 10 October 2026 to debut his collection at Paris Fashion Week, Tagesspiegel reported in a lengthy portrait. The piece, headlined 'From fishing village to Fashion Week', described how Reinke built his label in Berlin with elaborate hand-crafted pieces that mix queer sensibilities, folklore and daring nudity. His Paris show is being staged as an invitation-only presentation with a provocative concept that leaves little to the imagination; parts of the collection feature translucent fabrics and performance-art elements. For Berlin's fashion industry, which struggles to keep its own Fashion Week relevant, Reinke's arrival in Paris is seen as a boost. The designer told the paper that he wanted to carry Berlin's eccentric, inclusive attitude to the catwalks of the French capital and show that fashion from the German capital can hold its own among the global labels.
