Chacarra Wins DP World India Championship to Lead Race to Dubai

Spanish golfer Eugenio Chacarra claimed his third DP World Tour title of the 2026 season at the DP World India Championship in Delhi, shooting 21-under par to leap to the top of the Race to Dubai standings.

Eugenio Chacarra of Spain won the DP World India Championship at Delhi Golf Club, finishing at 21-under par after completing his third round with a 63 and then shooting 70 on the final day. Weather delays compressed the schedule, forcing players to complete multiple rounds on the last day. Chacarra's winning margin was two strokes, with New Zealand's Daniel Hillier the runner-up at 16-under. The victory was Chacarra's third win of the 2026 DP World Tour season and earned him close to $700,000 in prize money. Most significantly, it lifted him above Patrick Reed—who finished tied for 23rd—to the top of the Race to Dubai standings, the season-long ranking that crowns the European Tour's player of the year when the finale is played next month. Rory McIlroy, once considered the likely champion, struggled again and ended the week tied 42nd. Chacarra, a former LIV Golf player, has transformed himself into the dominant force on the DP World Tour in 2026, with earlier wins at the French Open and the Spanish Open preceding this latest triumph in India.
