India's women's cricket team sealed a 2-0 series victory over Zimbabwe in Raipur, chasing down a target of 103 in just 8.5 overs with Shafali Verma smashing 55 off 25 balls.

India's women's team wrapped up a dominant T20I series victory over Zimbabwe with one match to spare, winning the second game in Raipur on October 18 by nine wickets. Zimbabwe were restricted to 102 for 8 from their 20 overs, and India overhauled the target in just 8.5 overs, finishing on 104 for 1. The standout performance with the bat came from Shafali Verma, who blazed to 55 off 25 deliveries, hitting the ball to all parts of the ground and setting an explosive tone from the opening over. The series result, 2-0 with one game still to play, underlined India's status as one of the world's leading women's T20 sides heading into the international winter. The match was played at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Earlier in the day, the Board of Control for Cricket in India also confirmed that the IPL 2027 mini-auction will be held in Goa on December 16, the first time the event will take place on Indian soil in three consecutive overseas editions, adding further cricket news to a busy day for Indian sport.
