Alley Cats Pizza Opens Fifth London Site in Battersea
Popular New York-style pizzeria Alley Cats, ranked 11th in Time Out's 2026 list of London's best pizza restaurants, is expanding to a fifth London location in Battersea, south-west London.
Time Out London has reported that Alley Cats — a New York-style pizzeria that ranked 11th on Time Out's 2026 list of London's best pizzerias — is opening a fifth London site in Battersea (SW11). The brand already operates restaurants in Marylebone (its original location, opened December 2023), Chelsea, Westbourne Grove, and Portobello Road. Alley Cats is known for 14-inch New York-style pizzas, Philly cheesesteak subs, and deep-fried carbonara bites; its Portobello Road site also introduced 'Fat Cat Squares,' a Sicilian-style thick and crusty pizza. An opening date and exact Battersea address have not yet been released. The expansion comes amid a competitive London pizza scene: Forbici opened its first London location this month, while Napoli on the Road was crowned the best pizza restaurant in the world in September. Time Out's 2026 London pizzeria rankings were topped by Ozzy's Apizza, followed by Carmy's in Seven Dials and Dough Hands in third place.
