Halloween at the Tower of London: Spooky Half-Term Trail Opens for 2026
The Tower of London is hosting a family Halloween trail from 24 October to 1 November 2026, with spooky characters, themed areas and a ghost bear to discover across the historic fortress.
The Tower of London is running a Halloween trail over October half term, from 24 October to 1 November 2026. The fortress has a history stretching back 900 years — taking in a great deal of torture, imprisonment and execution, most famously the beheading of Anne Boleyn — and its long-standing reputation for ghostly sightings makes it a natural fit for the seasonal event.
Visitors can follow a spooky trail around the ancient landmark and keep an eye out for themed characters including medieval queens, Roman soldiers, wizards and a ghost bear. The organisers are clear that the experience leans firmly towards treat rather than trick: instead of big jump scares, the event offers friendly ghosts and a range of fun themed areas, among them the Haunted Forge, the Enchanted Wishing Well and the Raven's Observatory.
The trail is designed to be family-friendly and accessible to younger children, making it a solid half-term option at one of London's most storied historic sites.
