Halloween Guide: From Haunted Boat Rides to Drone Light Shows Around Berlin
A round-up of Halloween events across Berlin and Brandenburg features spooky boat rides in Lübben, a 500-drone display in Elstal, a family lantern procession at Britzer Garten, and corn-maze horror experiences, with something on offer for every age group.
With Halloween falling on Saturday 31 October, venues across Berlin and Brandenburg are offering a wide range of themed events. Filmpark Babelsberg is running its "Horrornacht," with elaborately costumed performers scaring visitors through the park. At Karls Erdbeerhof in Elstal, evenings from 17:00 to 22:00 feature a fire show, acrobatics, witches, magicians, and a headline 500-drone display. New additions this year include LED trampoline jumping and neon face painting. Britzer Garten is hosting a family-friendly programme with face painting, dances around the witch's cauldron, a Halloween disco, a lantern procession, fairy-tale storytelling, and a fire show. The corn maze at the Spargelhof in Klaistow has been transformed into a horror version using only technical installations and atmospheric lighting — no human performers are involved. In Lübben, spooky boat rides wind through the waterways while guides tell ghostly stories, sing witch songs, and draw visitors into old Sorbian legends, all from a glowing, decorated boat. Seepark Prenzlau in the Uckermark district kicks off early on Friday 30 October, with light effects, decorations, and eerie figures creating the atmosphere; guests can also bake Knüppelkuchen over an open campfire. A guided dark-history walking tour of central Berlin starts at Klosterstraße in Mitte and requires advance registration. Further events include a Halloween celebration at Finsterwalde Zoo, a witch party at Ferienpark am Scharmützelsee, and the Krabat Lichterzauber light trail in Hoyerswerda, inspired by the famous Krabat legend.
