The 54th World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, held at Rotterdam Ahoy from 17 to 25 October 2026, reached a key milestone on Thursday 22 October with the men's all-around final scheduled for 19:30 local time. Japan's Shinnosuke Oka topped the men's all-around qualification leaderboard with a score of 85.098 points, ahead of his teammate Daiki Hashimoto on 84.632, setting up the prospect of a Japanese sweep in the event's most prestigious individual medal. Japan had already secured men's team gold earlier in the championships, defending their world title with a score of 251.928 ahead of World Gymnastics 2 (Russia) in silver position on 250.329, and China in bronze on 249.193. The team final was described as one of the most dramatic in recent championship history. On the women's side, Algeria's Kaylia Nemour leads all-around qualification with 55.999 points ahead of American Skye Blakely (55.465) and will compete in the women's all-around final on Friday 24 October. The championships conclude on 25 October with apparatus finals in both the men's and women's disciplines.
