Ubisoft re-releases 'Rayman Legends Retold' as franchise returns after a decade
Ubisoft brought one of its most-loved platformers back on October 1 with 'Rayman Legends Retold', a full remaster launching simultaneously on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
On October 1, 2026, Ubisoft Montpellier released 'Rayman Legends Retold', a comprehensive remaster of the acclaimed 2013 platformer, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2. The relaunch arrives 13 years after the original and marks the Rayman franchise's biggest return since 2013, offering reworked 4K visuals, redesigned bosses, new co-op levels and a soundtrack re-recorded with a live orchestra. The release landed on one of the most crowded gaming days of autumn 2026, sharing the schedule with 'Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition', 'Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered' and 'End of Abyss'. Coverage led PC Gamer, GameSpot, VideoGamesChronicle and Game Informer's October schedule and signalled Ubisoft's broader push to revive legacy brands amid the publisher's ongoing turnaround plan.
