Long Night of the Manufactories opens 28 Berlin workshops
28 Berlin workshops and ateliers opened their doors on the Saturday after 17 October 2026 for the Long Night of the Manufactories.
Berlin's 'Lange Nacht der Manufakturen' invites visitors into 28 workshops and ateliers across the city on the Saturday following 17 October 2026, from traditional candy makers and bookbinders to small furniture and ceramics studios. According to the Tagesspiegel preview, visitors can watch artisans at work, try their hand at crafts, and buy directly from the makers; some sites also run guided tours and children's workshops. The event, now an annual fixture, is organised by small businesses and craft associations trying to raise visibility of handwork in a city dominated by tech and services. Participating locations are spread across central and outer districts, from Mitte and Kreuzberg to Reinickendorf and Marzahn, and a shuttle ticket connects several hubs. Organisers hope the night will drive both tourism and local orders in the run-up to the Christmas season.
