Rapper Sido buys Harald Juhnke's tuxedo at charity auction
Berlin rapper Sido paid eight times the minimum bid to buy entertainer Harald Juhnke's tuxedo at a charity auction.
Berlin rapper Sido paid eight times the minimum bid to buy the tuxedo of the legendary Berlin entertainer Harald Juhnke at a charity auction in the city, the Tagesspiegel reported on 17 October 2026. The suit, worn by Juhnke during his stage years, was part of a collection of memorabilia from the entertainer's estate auctioned off for a good cause. Sido, himself a Berlin-born celebrity, said he had admired Juhnke since childhood and would treasure the piece as a tribute to a cornerstone of Berlin showbiz. The hammer price, well above the catalogue estimate, drew applause in the auction hall and will go to the beneficiary charity. Other lots from the Juhnke estate — including suits, props and signed memorabilia — also attracted bids well above expectations, showing the enduring appeal of the entertainer who died in 2005.
