Entire Piccadilly Line Shut Over Halloween Weekend as TfL Closures Hit Overground and DLR
Transport for London's Piccadilly line will be completely suspended on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November, with further disruption on the Overground's Windrush, Mildmay and Suffragette lines and on the DLR, leaving Halloween revellers urged to plan their journeys carefully.
London commuters and Halloween revellers face widespread disruption this weekend as a heavy programme of TfL engineering work takes hold. The Piccadilly line has already been mostly down on Thursday and Friday, and the entire line will be suspended throughout Saturday and Sunday. On the Overground, the Windrush line loses all service between New Cross Gate and both West Croydon and Crystal Palace on both Saturday and Sunday. The Mildmay line has no trains between Camden Road and Richmond or Clapham Junction on Sunday only. The Suffragette line is suspended between Gospel Oak and Woodgrange Park until 9:45am on Sunday. The DLR loses service between Shadwell and Tower Gateway on Sunday. The Waterloo and City line remains closed as standard at weekends and bank holidays. Anyone heading out for Halloween is advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid being caught out by the disruptions.
