'Dragon Ball Super: Beerus' lands on Netflix US with revamped animation

Toei Animation's rebuilt 'Dragon Ball Super: Beerus' began streaming weekly on Netflix in the United States at midnight PT on 17 October 2026, bringing the enhanced anime to the platform six days after its Japanese broadcast.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, a visually upgraded remake of the early arcs of the Dragon Ball Super series, premiered on Netflix in the United States at 12:00 AM Pacific Time on Saturday 17 October 2026. The series had already launched in Japan and on Crunchyroll on 11 October, and Netflix's catch-up window of six days ends a long run in which the main Dragon Ball library had been scattered across Hulu, Disney+ and Crunchyroll in the US. Toei Animation has re-cut the God of Destruction arc with new scenes, revised choreography and freshly animated transitions, framing it as an 'Enhanced' edition rather than a rerun. New episodes will drop weekly on Saturdays, with the arc expected to run through early 2027 before moving into a reworked Resurrection F storyline. The announcement, trailed on Netflix's social accounts earlier in the month, drew millions of impressions as fans in the US celebrated finally watching the show on the same service as the rest of the Netflix anime slate. Dragon Ball remains one of the most-streamed anime franchises worldwide.
