The London Symphony Orchestra Will Perform the Star Wars Trilogy Live at the Royal Albert Hall in 2027
The London Symphony Orchestra — who originally recorded the Star Wars scores — will perform John Williams's legendary music live alongside screenings of all three original trilogy films across a four-day weekender at the Royal Albert Hall in April 2027.
The Royal Albert Hall has announced a barnstorming Star Wars in concert weekender from Wednesday 29 April to Sunday 2 May 2027, in which the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) will perform John Williams's scores live to full screenings of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The LSO has a unique connection to the films: the ensemble originally recorded all three soundtracks for George Lucas's original trilogy. Tickets are priced at £45. The event is part of the Royal Albert Hall's broader 2026 Films in Concert season, which also includes performances accompanying The Shawshank Redemption, Whiplash, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The Star Wars weekender is positioned as the season's centrepiece.
