London Bus and Tram Fares Rise by 10p From 1 November
TfL is increasing single bus and tram fares from £1.75 to £1.85 and the daily cap from £5.25 to £5.55 from 1 November 2026 — the first fare rise in three years.
Transport for London will increase bus and tram fares from 1 November 2026 for the first time in three years. Single adult fares will rise by 10p to £1.85, the Hopper fare (unlimited journeys within an hour) will also increase by 10p, concession-card fares go up by 5p, and the daily bus and tram cap increases from £5.25 to £5.55. Mayor Sadiq Khan had previously extended a bus fare freeze, noting that "the cost-of-living crisis is still hitting many Londoners hard," but the increase has now been confirmed. Tube fares remain unchanged for now; TfL typically announces Underground fare changes in March. The increase comes as TfL faces a large ongoing maintenance backlog across its network.
