Free Book Swap at Southbank Centre This Weekend as Part of London Literature Festival
A free book swap is running at the Southbank Centre from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, with donated titles from Dua Lipa, Michael Rosen, Jacqueline Wilson, Max Porter and Malorie Blackman available to take home.
The Southbank Centre is hosting a free book swap this weekend as part of the London Literature Festival, open from 10am on Friday 30 October through to Sunday 1 November. Visitors are encouraged to bring along an old book and exchange it for something new from the collection.
The swap features donated titles from a number of well-known names. Dua Lipa, who is presiding over this edition of the London Literature Festival, has contributed books, as have children's author Jacqueline Wilson, poet Michael Rosen, author Max Porter and Malorie Blackman.
The book swap is just one of several free offerings at the Southbank Centre this weekend. Families can catch a free theatre performance from Cardboard Citizens, and children aged five and over can take a seat on a giant storytelling bed to piece together their favourite tales and listen to pop-up readings.
Ticketed headline events also form part of the festival, but the book swap and family activities are completely free to attend.
Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, SE1 8XX. Friday 30 October – Sunday 1 November. Free.
