The Royal Albert Hall has announced a Star Wars Films in Concert weekender as part of its 2026–27 season, scheduled for 29 April to 2 May 2027. The London Symphony Orchestra, the very ensemble that originally recorded John Williams' iconic Star Wars scores under Williams himself, will perform the music live while the original trilogy screens on a large in-hall screen. Episode IV: A New Hope will open the run on 29 April, followed by The Empire Strikes Back and then Return of the Jedi on 2 May. Tickets are priced at £45 for the Star Wars performances. The announcement is part of the Royal Albert Hall's wider Films in Concert season, which also includes Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl (March 2027), Whiplash (May 2027), The Shawshank Redemption (May 2027), Up and Moana (June 2027), Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (October 2027) and Titanic (October 2027), with general series tickets starting at £30. Bookings are available through the Royal Albert Hall's website.
